Dream On, Dreamer

Last night, I was reminded not to let go of the dreams of my childhood…

While I was busy untangling fairy lights in preparation for Hillsong Church Somerset West ‘s Team Night, Jess, our church’s worship leader (and an amazing woman of God), sat down and helped me.

“I used to do this all the time for Youth at Hillsong College,” she said.

After chatting a bit about her experience doing all things creative at Hillsong College, I said something without thinking:

“When I was in high school, I used to dream of studying Dance at Hillsong College.”

Immediately, Jess replied, “You should still go!”

Even though she’s fully aware that I work full-time.

By worldly standards, it’s not realistic… But it awakened the dream in me again.

And maybe she’s right.

What’s stopping me?

And we should ALL follow our childhood dreams, even if it’s just one. Don’t get stuck in a rut; there’s so much more out there.

Which dream that you pledged to yourself as child/teen will you make real?

I learn a lot at Church… Here are some blog posts inspired by things I learnt at Church:
